VFA Forest Champions

We're an alliance of grassroots groups fighting for the protection and restoration of Victoria's native forests, and we need your help.

The Victorian Forest Alliance (VFA) has a new monthly giving program — the VFA Forest Champions — to build a strong, sustainable base of support for our forests.

Since the “official” end of native forest logging in 2024, new and serious threats have emerged:

• “Strategic fuel breaks” bulldozing through roadside forest ecosystems

• Destructive salvage logging after fires and storm damage

• Private land logging in high conservation value areas

• Unscientific ‘planned’ burning practices damaging biodiversity and increasing forest flammability

These pressures threaten 1.8 million hectares of Victoria’s native forests. Protecting them requires an expansion of our campaign activities, and this can be achieved if our supporters can provide the VFA with regular predictable income.

By joining the Forest Champions with a monthly gift (suggested $20 or more), you become part of a core group of supporters powering VFA’s statewide campaigns. And thanks to a generous philanthropic donor, every monthly donation is matched dollar-for-dollar, making your impact twice as powerful.

As a Forest Champion, you’ll receive:

• Regular updates showing how your support is protecting forests.

• The knowledge that you’re directly funding campaigners and coordination needed to fight for Victoria’s forests leading up to the 2026 State election - and beyond.

Most importantly, you’ll be helping VFA build a sustainable movement — underpinned by regular income so we can concentrate on protecting the forests we love.
